Saving by Doing it Yourself
Many clients tell me they would like to save cost by building part or all of the installation themselves. The project affords many opportunities for hands-on involvement. Most clients prefer to leave certain jobs to the experts; we recommend highly qualified contractors for jobs such as digging ditches, installing irrigation systems, wiring for site lighting, pouring concrete, and doing carpentry for wood construction. However, planting smaller plants, seeding lawns and tilling soil are operations that are more feasible, not to mention more fun, for most people to do. Professional installation of more intricate jobs will save you money in the long run with efficiency, durability, and quality.
